Leeland, I really enjoy your interviewing style. it may be a bit hokey but perhaps you could have two or three silly (or not so silly) questions that you ask everyone? i enjoy the individual interviews, but I also look for ways to compare across the whole. :-)
Discussion of Paris is so interesting. Great global-European perspective. I like the argument that Paris is in the center of Europe as a way to defend keeping the study abroad in paris.
It would be interesting to have a separate senior class go to somewhere like Berlin as suggested. Can the school look into it somehow?
Digital Design…
boundary condition…
recreating variation…
Great stuff, I agree with Kelly, would be nice to ask a silly question or two.
What music they listen to / favorite movie ?
i think silly stuff would be good – but only if it is balanced better with something real.
silly stuff has to be contextual.
i do think an interview is a unique opportunity to be a little more personal.
but at the same time i dont think many people know enough ‘general’ background information to appreciate a more personal comment.
im going to leave it up to leeland.
he is doing an excellent job.
